Students’ Participation At 12th Interregional Competition “First Aid 2022”

Perm State Medical University (PSMU) recently participated in the 12th Interregional Competition “First Aid 2022” on 22nd October 2022 along with 25 teams across the Kama region and delegations from Izhevsk and Yekaterinburg. The large scale event was organized by the Educational and Methodological Center “Perm Regional School of Disaster Medicine”, GKUZ “Perm Regional TTsMK”, and FSBEI HE PSMU named after academician E.A. Vagner of the Ministry of Health of Russia and Perm Territory. 

The teachers of Perm State Medical University who also assisted in the hosting of the event as a jury - Rudin V.V. (Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Normal, Topographic, and Clinical Anatomy =, Operative Surgery, Director of the Federal Accreditation Center); Kovaleva O.A. (Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Surgical Diseases of Childhood); Shmeleva S.A.(Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Anesthesiology, resuscitation and emergency medical care); Tokarev A.E. (Associate Professor of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics); Trapeznikova M.V. (Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Life Safety and Disaster Medicine. Competitions were conducted among the students of universities, colleges, and schoolchildren of medical diseases. 

Participants were asked to demonstrate their skills in first and psychological aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and display their knowledge at the theoretical stage.Our university was represented by two teams of students from the Department of Life Safety and Disaster Medicine. 

The winners of the competition were decided in every category and nomination. The first two positions in their category were won by the two teams of students of the Department of Life Safety and Disaster Medicine of our university “BEAR” and “9 Lives”.
